Quartzs news app puts the entire global economy in your pocket. Its an ongoing conversation about the news, sort of like texting. Well send you messages, photos, GIFs, links, and—our newest treat—3D objects that you can view in augmented reality.
You decide when youre interested in learning more about a news item. Each session lasts just a few minutes, so its perfect for the train, elevator, grocery store line, or wherever you have a spare moment. And heres the secret about our little news bot: Its written by humans! Smart journalists who just want to keep you informed and entertained.

The app is really simple to use. Here are some other features:
• Experience the news in AR. When telling you about an interesting object thats in the news, we may invite you view a 3D model of it right there in front of you.
• Notifications that are relevant and fun. You decide which alerts to receive, and we wont buzz your phone unless its really, really important.
• Sometimes our notifications also come with photos, charts, animated GIFs, or other media attached to them. Pretty crazy.
• Take a 24-hour break from news about the US president with Trump Snooze.
• On the Today screen, view our most interesting chart of the moment.
• Apple Watch owners, gauge the markets with an emoji on your watch face.
• No more news? Relax. Well give you a quiz or something else to do.

This is not for everyone. But its totally original and fun. Give it a try. It wont cost you anything and you will learn something.

Actually, sometimes I get bored from looking for all the news in all the fields, and reading loooong articles, but now Quartz made it really eaasy for me, with a sophisticated method, Thank you Quartz Team.

Some bad moments
Dear Quartz team. I just received a facebook advertisement about your app, and since I love qz - since I got the newsletter first - I went ahead and just downloaded it. while it was loading I read the description and was already sceptical, but the real app is really not my thing. hey, show me the news in a nice overview and make it pretty.
The approach to feed you news bites via chat and let you choose to read more about a headline is definitely in line with the current snapchat and whatsapp populace, all garnished with pics here and there if sth exploded or crashed and funny gifs as icing on the cake. The app is streamlined and well-designed. At least you can see from which news corp the data was fetched and the source material is directly linked and can be opened from within the app. An app for everyone who wants to be on top of tonights round of smalltalk about everything and nothing.
The app is genuinely wonderful, but unfortunately it keeps on crashing on iPhone 4S (iOS 9.2)
Great app, love the user experience. Too bad after the last update it crashes constantly on startup.
Could be interesting if I could also get news from my country, and world events, and select my areas of intetest. Good concept, just not there yet.
Deleting immediately due to Quartz supporting some xenophobic outlets trying to profile minoritys who enter the USA. How disgraceful and remember how your forefathers came to such a great nation; you have no right to single out any ethnicity.
